Music Capitals With The Wimbledon International Music Festival


Music and musicians from around the globe will be together in SW19

Music Capitals is the theme for this year’s Wimbledon International Music Festival, which will bring together music and musicians from across the globe in Wimbledon from November 11-26.

Following the theme, Johann Sebastian Bach, Georg Philipp Telemann, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Clara and Robert Schumann, Richard Wagner, Gustav Mahler, Max Reger and Edvard Grieg are just some among the 500 composers to have lived in Leipzig.

The roll call of composers associated with St. Petersburg include: Mussorgsky, Borodin, Rachmaninov, Glazunov, Stravinsky, Shostakovich, Glinka, Balakirev, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Arensky, and Prokofiev.
