Police appeal for witnesses after burglary

Police are appealing for information and witnesses following the theft of valuable items of jewellery from a house in Wimbledon.

The burglary took place between 7.30am and 10pm on Monday October 8 at the property in Church Road.

A substantial quantity of jewellery was taken, including a diamond encrusted Cartier watch worth £35,000 and a Cartier platinum diamond ring with two yellow diamonds, worth £70,000.

Other items stolen include watches, rings and bracelet (like the one on the left) worth up to £7,000 each, several of which are also by Cartier.

Both the watches have 'Squirrels Wood' engraved on the back of them. One of the stolen Cartier watches is pictured on the right.

Detective Constable Debbie Goff of Merton police said: "We need to hear from anyone with information about the burglary or the stolen jewellery, which is of major sentimental value to its owner."
