Wimbledon Leisure Centre Is To Re-Open Soon
Local facility will have a reduced offering and a different look
Wimbledon Leisure Centre and Spa is beginning a phased re-opening from Saturday 25 July as part of the nationwide easing of lockdown.
But customers are warned that returning to the Latimer Road facility will look and feel a little different than usual, with measures including:
- Reduced equipment within gym areas to allow for social distancing
- Limiting the number of customers allowed within the facility at any one time
- Introducing pre-booked activity sessions for all customers
- An enhanced cleaning regime and sanitised materials provided for members to use on equipment
- Limited changing room access with members asked to change at home when possible
- All sessions will need to be pre-booked online or via the Better UK app.
The centre’s Spa Experience and Creche is not open and there are also no meeting rooms available for current hire.
The Canons Leisure Centre and Morden Leisure Centre are also re-opening on July 25.
Wimbledon Park Watersports Facility has been open for sometime and is currently offering limited bookings for individual and group watersports lessons.
