Wimbledon Library Fun At Christmas


Special event among the books

A Christmas fun day is being held at Wimbledon Library is on Saturday (December 17) from 10am–4pm.

Activities will include festive flower-making, homemade food and drinks, locally made gifts and treats, so there is something for all ages.

The morning kicks off with the Falun Dafa healthy mind and body demonstration at 10am, followed at 11am by a Christmas story time with special guest, Father Christmas.

At midday, St Mark's choir will get everyone into the Christmas spirit with their sing-a-long Christmas carols. The library is also offering free gifts when you borrow any items throughout the day.

Libraries across Merton which open on Fridays will close at 12.30pm on December 23. All libraries are closed 24–27 December and January 2.

  • Activities at Mitcham Library include a workshop from Wimbledon's Polka Theatre on Wednesday (December 21) at 10.30am and a Christmas story time and crafts session at 10.30am on Thursday December 22. School-aged children won't miss out, as a Christmas craft session is being held for 5–11-year-olds on Tuesday (December 20) from 3.30pm-4.30pm.
