Twice yearly show is biggest in Europe
Wimbledon Art Studios is about to host one of its twice-yearly Open Art Shows.
The complex of studios just off Plough Lane in Riverside Yard, Riverside Road, Earlsfield, is home to more than 100 artists covering fields including printmaking, furniture, painting and ceramics.
It's one of the largest creative studio complexes in the UK. The two buildings form a massive maze of studios, but friendly staff will be on hand during the event, from May 12-15 to point you in the right direction.
The majority of the artwork is shown in each artist's own workspace and you can experience many of the creative disciplines including painting, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, photography, printmaking and furniture design.
The last Open Studios art show attracted more than 4,500 people, offering the public chance to buy directly from the artists. It is the largest single site Open Studios Art Show in Europe and also features live music, street food, pop up restaurant, bars, workshops, art competitions etc. Suitable for all the family.
Opening times are Thursday from 2pm-10pm; Friday from 2pm-9pm; Saturday from 11am-7pm; Sunday from 11am – 6.30pm. There's free parking nearby in Riverside Road.
