Wimbledon Park's Pool Is Open For Season

Youngsters will be making a splash this week now the interactive water play area has opened for the season in Wimbledon Park.

The rest of Merton's paddling pools will open from July 19 until August 31 from 10am to 5pm.

There are standard paddling pools at:

Joseph Hood Recreation Ground	Martin Way, Morden, SW20 9BX
King George's Playing Fields	Tudor Drive, Morden, SM4 4PN
Morden Park	London Road, Morden, SM4 4SF
Rowan Road Recreation Ground	Rowan Road, SW16 5JF
Sir Joseph Hood Memorial Playing Fields	Marina Avenue, New Malden, KT3 6N

There's another interactive water play area at Tamworth Recreaction Ground in London Road, Mitcham.

Merton Council cabinet member for environmental sustainability and regeneration Councillor Andrew Judge said: "Our paddling pools and water features provide the perfect places for children to cool off and have fun during the summer. They are also hugely popular with families. That's why the council is continuing to maintain them. Let's hope we have good weather!"
