Go Behind The Scenes At Wimbledon Police Station

Special open day this weekend

An open day will give you a chance to go behind the scenes at Wimbledon police station on Sunday (September 22).

It takes place at the police station in Queens Road (left) between 10-4pm, where you will be greeted by officers and staff and given an opportunity to ask questions.

There will be a chance to take tours of the custody area and they will be demonstrating a wide range of activities including vehicle searches, Merton's "Most Wanted" display, community safety and crime prevention advice, fingerprint taking, patrol vehicles and our amazing officer safety techniques!

Safer Transport Teams will also be on site to carry out free security marking of bicycles and registering details on BikeRegister to help tackle and prevent cycle crime. Other community groups will also be attending the event.

When a similar open day was held two years ago, more than 800 people attended.
