Morrison's car park had to be shut too
The busy Hartfield Road near Wimbledon town centre was closed today (August 30) because of a burst water main.
Traffic was advised to avoid the area after the junction near Beulah Road was closed due to the burst. The car park at Morrison's supermarket was also closed.
There was reported to be a considerable flood of water, although no shops or houses were affected. A sharp dip in the road was also observed. Thames Water were called turn off the water supply.
