Teachers set to go on strike
A number of schools in Wimbledon will be closed, or only partially open, on Wednesday March 26 while national industrial action is taking place.
Across the borough of Merton, 14 primary schools will be open as normal and 26 will partially opening and five will be closed - including Pelham Primary School in Wimbledon.
The strike has been called by the NUT (National Union of Teachers) strike as part of their on-going dispute with the Government about reforms to the education sector regarding issues with excessive workloads, performance related pay and unfair pension changes.
