Sleep Out To Help The Homeless

Event will help raise vital funds

Fundraisers will be sleeping out on Wimbledon's wintery streets to help raise funds for the area's homeless people.

The YMCA's charity Big Sleep Easy event takes place at the Holy Trinity Church on The Broadway overnight on Saturday January 28.

It is part of a national fundraising event, with YMCAs up and down the country running similar events between January and March, raising money for their work with homeless people in their community.

The Wimbledon event is being held in partnership with local charity, Faith in Action, which works to help rough sleepers in the area.

The Sleep Easy will start at 7pm and end at 6am the following morning, when breakfast will be served.

Registration for the event is £10 for adults and £5 for under 18s. Participants will get a Sleep Easy t-shirt, hot drinks, soup and breakfast.
