Raise funds for the Animal Health Trust

A sponsored dog walk takes place on Wimbledon Common on Saturday August 17 to raise money for the Animal Health Trust and its cancer research and treatment facility.

It is organised by Kate and Lucy Flory, who are raising funds for the charity by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in February 2014 in memory of their golden retriever, Tia (pictured below), who died of cancer, aged six, in November 2012.

Kate and Lucy live in Wimbledon and walk their two dogs on the Common every day.

The sponsored walk starts at noon at the Windmill Tearooms, and it's a 5k circular route.

There will be a raffle afterwards with great prizes for dogs and owners. They are asking for donations of £10 per dog and £5 for any additional dogs in the same family.

Goodie bags for all participating dogs guaranteed with pre-registration.
