Services affected after man hit by train
Rail commuters were affected by delays at Wimbledon station on Wednesday (October 31) after a man was killed when he was hit by a train.
The incident took place at 12.55pm and involved the Basingstoke to Waterloo train. A man was pronouced dead at the scene.
Delays affected all the South West Trains services running through the station. Most of the afternoon there were delays of around an hour.
But by the evening, South West Trains said the delays were reduced to 30 minutes.
