Woman killed after being struck by train
The woman killed when she was struck by a train at Wimbledon last week has been named as Jean Gault, aged 65, from Wimbledon.
The incident, which police are treating as "non-suspicious" - happened at the end of the morning rush-hour on Wednesday July 6.
The station was closed for a time and there were delays for the rest of the day.
A British Transport Police (BTP) spokeswoman said: "BTP and Metropolitan Police officers attended the incident, which was reported to police at 10.08am and is currently being treated as non-suspicious.
"Paramedics from the London Ambulance Service also attended, but the woman, who has now been identified as Jean Gault, aged 65 from Wimbledon, was pronounced dead at the scene. A file will be prepared for the coroner."
