Get Set For The Wimbledon Village Fair

Preparations underway for annual event

This year's Wimbledon Village Fair takes place on Wimbledon Common on Saturday June 22.

The free event, in aid of The Wimbledon Guild, includes the following attractions:

Some of the treasures from William Morris House in The Broadway, Wimbledon, which are not normally on show, will be on display at the fair. They include a picture of William Morris himself, which was found anchored to the back of a cupboard in 2012.

Wimbledon Bridge Club will also have two tables of bridge in play, one for beginners and another for those with some experience. 

Last year's event, which attracted around 20,000 people, raised £27,000 which went toward's the Guilds work in supporting the local community.
