Join The River Wandle Clean-Up

Help tidy up the Wandle in Wimbledon

The next River Wandle community clean-up takes place in Wimbledon on Sunday (January 11).

The Wandle Trust organises community clean-ups of the River Wandle on the second Sunday of every month, rotating between the boroughs of Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth.

The next clean-up is in Merton at North Road, a short walk from Haydons Road station or Colliers Wood tube, from 11am-3pm on Sunday.

Please arrive in time for our Health and Safety briefing at 11am. Volunteers will then get waders on and work through until 3pm with a break at about 1pm for tea, coffee and refreshments provided by the Trust. You may like to bring your own picnic lunch.

As ever, we're extremely grateful to the Waste Management team at Merton Council for their support in taking the rubbish away - we couldn't run these events without this!

It is dirty work, so you are recommended to wear old clothes and sturdy footwear such as walking boots or wellies. You may wish to bring a change of clothes in case you get wet!
