Wimbledon Businesswoman Nominated For Top Awards

Shortlisted for two national awards

Wimbledon medical director, Professor Dr Geeta Nargund has been nominated for two national business awards.

Professor Nargund (right), the founder and medical director of Create Fertility IVF clinic in Pepys Road, West Wimbledon, has been shortlisted for the Asian Women of Achievement and the First Women awards.

The first celebrates outstanding female leaders in the Asian community. Professor Nargund is nominated in the Professional category, and is one of only 54 nominees overall.

Sponsored by RBS and Real Business Magazine, and with the awards taking place in Park Lane on June 4, it is in recognition of the work she has done in promoting natural and mild IVF and the local charitable foundations she heads and supports.

She also has a chance in the First Women awards (taking place on June 12), which has shortlisted 49 of the UK's most "game-changing and inspirational" female role models.

Nominated in the Science & Technology category, it recognises her ground-breaking medical work in developing IVF technology and furthering its availability for women across the UK and worldwide.

Professor Nargund, who lives in Wimbledon, is also a senior consultant at St George's Hospital in Tooting.
