Victim was trying to separate her dog from another
Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was badly bitten by a dog after she tried to separate it from attacking her own pet.
The incident took place at 11pm on Sunday April 3 in the grass area of Herbert Road, near St Andrew parish church, Wimbledon, when the victim was walking her dog.
Another dog - a red or smoky brown coloured Mastiff or Staffordshire bull terrier - ran over and bit and locked its jaw on her pet's leg.
The woman tried to separate the two animals, but was badly bitten by the other dog.
The owner of the attacking dog is described as white woman, aged around 48-52 years, about 5ft 7ins tall and with dark shoulder length hair, which was up in a bun. She was wearing a black coat with large gold buttons.
