Detectives on moped-enabled crime squad put plea to find eighth suspect

Kalen Williamson

Officers from Operation Venice - who tackle moped-enabled crime - are appealing for assistance in tracing a man in connection with a commercial robbery and burglary at two Wimbledon shops.

Detectives would like to speak with Kalan - also known as Kalen - Williamson, aged 26, of Beaufort Street, Chelsea. He is pictured above.

He is currently wanted by the Met for a commercial robbery at a jeweller’s in Wimbledon on 12 September 2018, and for a commercial burglary at a clothes shop in Wimbledon on 6 December 2018.

Williamson is also wanted by Dorset Police in relation to a violent commercial robbery, which took place on Thursday, 14 March.

Chief Inspector Jim Corbett, of Operation Venice, said: “Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Williamson should contact police immediately via on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 and quote reference 897/11Apr.

"If you are this person with whom we wish to speak to, I would suggest handing yourself in to the nearest police station sooner rather than later.”

Police yesterday said seven people had been arrested in dawn raids in London and Dorset in connection with the robbery of a jeweller’s shop in Wimbledon Village last year.
