Witness Plea After Young Cyclist Seriously Hurt In Wimbledon


Eleven-year-old in rush-hour collision with a car

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a rush-hour road collision in Wimbledon which has left an 11-year-old cyclist with serious injuries.

Officers were called to Merton Hall Road, at the junction with Dundonald Road, at 8.18am today (September 30) following reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist.

London Ambulance Service also attended and treated an 11-year-old male cyclist for his injuries. He was taken to a west London hospital where his condition is described as serious but stable. His family have been informed.

The driver of the car stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
