British Ale Festival in SW19 pubs
A "British Cask Ale Festival" being organised by Young's Brewery will be marked by special menus and events in three Wimbledon pubs.
The festival runs from Thursday (April 21) -May 2, but the Hand In Hand pub off Wimbledon Common is also holding two special events on May 3 and May 4.
It will hold a real ale and cellar workshop on May 4 and on May 5 the head brewer head at Wells and Young's will host a question and answer night with beer-tasting and food-matching.
The Rose & Crown in Wimbledon Village High Street will feature a menu of traditional English specials to coincide with the festival.
Also in the High Street, the Dog & Fox will be launching its BBQ on Friday (April 22). Its range of beers will include a special Young's Wedding Ale, The Prince of Wales.
All three pubs will be offering a number of guest ales, including beers from Twickenham Ales, Hogsback, Sharp's and Sambrook's breweries, with "taster paddles" to sample them all.
