More estate agents near the station than most places in London
Wimbledon station has more estate agents within a few hundred yards than almost any other tube station in London, according to a new survey.
There are 17 estate agents within a quarter of a mile - a figure only beaten by the 18 close to Walthamstow and Borough stations (see Top Ten table below).
Over the past 12 months, the number of estate agents in London as a whole has increased by 8.3% - that’s a new estate agent office opening every 1.6 days - according to research carried out by online estate agents HouseSimple.com.
There are currently just under 2,900 estate agents in London, up by 220 in the past 12 months (2,661 agents in February 2015).
In Merton as a whole there are 64 estate agents, with a rise of 3.2% (an extra two) from the previous year.
