Public exhibition of plans for Emma Hamilton site

A landmark Wimbledon Chase pub which closed down last year could be replaced by shops and a residential development.

The Emma Hamilton pub (left) on Kingston Road, occasionally appeared in ITV's 'The Bill'. But last August it was sold by Punch Taverns PLC.

Now Stadium Capital Holdings are considering developing the site and are displaying their plans, which include ground floor shops and a residential development, at a public exhibition.

It takes place on Thursday (March 17) at 3.30pm-8pm at Merton Park Baptist Church on the corner of Bushey and Botsford Roads.

The company, which have yet to make an application to Merton Council, say they are hoping to hear the comments of residents at the exhibition. Architects will be on hand to answer questions.
